Health & safety at exhibitions & events
An area of exhibitions, conferences and events that has become more important and in some cases more confusing!
One problem is that the Health & Safety policies of many UK venues are frequently dictated by local authorities. This is in addition to the statutory regulations set out by the Health & Safety Executive.
None of this seems to bear any relation to the rules & regulations set out in other countries in the EU let alone anything else that may be applied outside of these areas, that is pre-supposing there are any regulations to adhere to in some of the more ‘interesting’ parts of the world!
Consequently it is an area that many exhibitors/organisers struggle to deal with , we can help you assess the risks, complete the H & S statements or even formulate a Health & Safety policy.
This is an area of exhibitions/conferences/events that should not be ignored , even if you do not require our help please ensure that you complete all forms and submit them to the relevant people. Should there be a problem at an event any investigation starts with the forms supplied by the exhibitor so please be aware.
Should you be exhibiting in a part of the world that does not require such things it still makes sense to go through the same procedure and to have internal documents that make you consider the risks and health and safety issues. In fact your own insurance company will probably insist upon it.
